From Dubai: Al Ain Full Day Tour with Lunch

1. From Dubai: Al Ain Full Day Tour with Lunch

Al Ain, the traditional seat of the Sheikhs, is perhaps the most folkloric of the main cities in the UAE. Explore this city on a full day trip from Dubai and experience a world that combines culture and tradition with present day life.   Start off with a 1.5-hour drive to Al Ain, where you’ll experience desert life in all its glory. Visit the National Museum, followed by a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum to admire its fluid mix of Bedouin-style and modern architecture. Here, you’ll learn more about ancient Emirati customs and traditions.   Have a buffet lunch in the city and sample local and regional dishes. Following this, discover the camel market and camel race track, a must-see attraction. Head to Jebel Hafeet, a great mountain overlooking the city where you can take in stunning views. Jahili Fort awaits you next, one of the largest castles in Al In and an excellent example of Islamic military architecture.   Then, visit Qasr Al Muwaiji, an impressive structure that has watched over the oasis for around 100 years. Finally, visit the hot springs Al Mubazzarah, whose water is said to have mysterious healing powers. After an eventful day, you’ll be driven back to Dubai.

2. Dubai: Al Ain Garden City with Conservation Zoo

Visit the beautiful garden city of Al Ain, the greenest of all the Emirates, on a full-day tour from Dubai. Begin with a visit to the Al Ain Museum with its extensive archaeological collection, including some spectacular second-millennium gold pendants. It also houses a reconstruction of the Grand Hili tomb with its rock engravings.  Next, go to the top of Jebel Hafeet, UAE's highest peak, giving you stunning views of the desert. At the foot of Jebel Hafeet are hot water springs, ideal for bathing tired feet in steaming therapeutic waters. Then stop at the largest camel market in the UAE, recently renovated to entertain guests all the more. Depending on the time of year, you may see baby camels. Move on to Al Ain Conservation Zoo, which houses some the world's last remaining white lions and tigers. You will have the chance to get up close to the animals while strolling through the wonderful gardens and enclosures.

What people are saying about Al Ain

What I particularly liked about the excursion was the optimal mix of nature and culture. Al Ain is a green oasis in the desert. The lunch buffet was varied and tasted very good. There were many different impressions on the trip. The guide was very friendly and was able to answer all of our questions.

The trip to Al Ain is definitely recommended. The oasis, the fort, the springs and the Hajjar Mountains are really impressive. We received a lot of useful information about the country and culture from our guide Kumar.

very well organized hotel pick-up, nice, reliable driver, small group, German audio guide, all points approached, excellent buffet at lunchtime
