The guide made sure that we saw whales, which was good. Even when we discovered some, the ship always went there. On our day it rained and snowed at times. Unfortunately I was never able to see the head of a whale, only part of the body and the tail fin, but still. The guide also gave explanations about the animals. The only thing I didn't like is that the guide really scared us at the beginning when he explained the safety precautions and talked about the weather. One guest even cried. That took away my joy. He could have said that we can do it, even if there are big waves and strong winds, that they are experienced, etc. So that trust can be created. What was very good was that care was taken to turn around when the wind got too strong.

It was an incredible experience! The guide (super helpful) gave us a lot of interesting information about the fjord, the city of Akureyri and the animal species that populate the area. Plus, being able to see free whales in their natural habitat was truly exciting. Super recommended as a tour!

It was simply fantastic. We spontaneously decided on this tour because an American woman told us the day before how great this tour was. We then took the boat out for about 30 minutes and then had the pleasure of seeing three whales. We were very excited and were able to learn a lot of new things from our guide. The staff was also very, very nice & all in all it was a very successful tour with great impressions! Would book again immediately.
