A magical biking tour that takes you into the forests and cornfields of the Mayan communities of Yucatan and the wonderful Punta Laguna nature reserve, home to the largest population of wild monkeys in the area. You will meet genuinely sustainable communities that have been living off the land for generations, growing their own food and using the natural resources of the jungle to build their homes. You will then hike through the jungle as part of a community run conservation initiative that is the best place to see wild monkeys and other jungle wildlife in northern Yucatan. The scenery consists of lush forest, inhabited by abundant wildlife of the region including monkeys, deer, coati, birds, reptiles, insects, felines and much more. The jungle is full of life and the sounds of nature and our trails take you into the heart of this vibrant ecosystem. You will ride, hike, paddle, swim & relax, connecting with the natural world and a people who live in harmony with it. By moving through the varying landscape of roads, trails, organic gardens, traditional homes, this is an active and inspiring means to discover the Mayan world.
