Get picked up by your driver guide from your hotel in Kigali at 5:30 AM and depart for Akagera National Park located along the eastern border of Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania.  Arrive for a morning game drive, searching for the big five, rhinos, lions, buffalo, leopard, and elephant in the expansive Park. Typically hilly countryside gives way to the savannas of the Great Rift Valley. Dominated by lakes, swamps, and marshland, the area boasts a huge compliment of nature and wildlife that cannot be found elsewhere in the country.   The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork. In the southern part of the park, vast Lake Ihema is home to hippos and crocodiles. You'll also have the opportunity spot some of the over 525 bird species, both migratory and savanna dwelling, that are in the area. - Overnight at Akagera Game Lodge Day 3: Akagera National Park - Kigali - Musanze Have breakfast and then enjoy a morning game drive, before returning to Kigali where you'll visit interesting spots which may include the craft market and the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site. Then depart for a two-hour drive to Musanze. You'll arrive at Red Rocks Intercultural Exchange Center in time for lunch before joining the local brew makers to learn about the process of brewing a local beer from bananas. - Overnight at The Garden Place Hotel Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park After an early morning breakfast, you'll transfer to the park headquarters together with your packed lunch. You'll begin the morning with a briefing on the code of conduct while with the gorillas. Then head out into the forest in search of the gorillas with your guide. Finding the gorillas may take from two to six hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle. Meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour. - Overnight at The Garden Place Hotel Day 5: Lake Kivu - Nyungwe National Park After early morning breakfast at the lodge, visit Lake Kivu and enjoy the morning breeze on the shores. On finding the chimpanzees, you'll have a one hour to watch and photograph them. After the chimpanzee trek, lunch will be back at the hotel. After lunch you'll head to Nyungwe National Park for a canopy walk. - Overnight at Emeraude Lake Resort Day 7: Nyungwe Forest - Butare - Kigali Have an early morning breakfast and then transfer back to Kigali where you will be dropped off at the airport to catch your flight back home or at your accommodations in Kigali.

Vendors in the market, mainly ladies, are welcoming and accommodating. In case you would like to take a picture, please ask the guide to request for you. 15 minutes approx. Uzuri K&Y : Uzuri K&Y workshop: Note: Uzuri K&Y workshop for sandals-Not yet available due to due to Covid-19. At Uzuri K&Y workshop, you will witness a group of many young girls and boys, all participating in the made in Rwanda shoe-making chain. In line with the Government of Rwanda skill enhancement policy among the youth, the workshop hosts both the apprentices and the employees. The factory employees come from the apprentice pool. The finished products from the workshop are shelved in the Uzuri K&Y showroom. Later during the tour, you will visit the showroom and you can buy a souvenir to take home and support their initiative. 25 minutes approx. Nyabarongo: Akagera is the river separating Kigali from the Eastern province and which will pass through Akagera National Park separating Rwanda and Tanzania. This river continues its way into Victoria lake and further to form Nile river. At Akagera river, you enjoy the beautiful scenery of its marshland and its surrounding hills. Kigali Car Free Zone : Drive for 15 min and walk through Kigali car-free zone, visit a handcraft shop before driving through Nyamirambo area, one of the oldest suburbs of Kigali city. 1 hour approx. Kigali Genocide Memorial : visit Kigali Genocide Memorial. Reaching the reception, the genocide memorial staff will brief you on how to go about the visit.
