From Marseille: A Taste of Aix-en-Provence and Cassis Tour
- Duration: 9.5 hours
Begin your 5-hour tour with a guided walking tour of the historic center of Aix en Provence. Explore its narrow streets and markets, the town hall square, fountains and cathedral. Taste some local delicacies and take a walk with your guide in the steps of Cezanne, one of the area’s most celebrated artists. Discover his college, the café where he used to meet the writers Cocteau and Cendrars and other famous 19th-century artists. Next is a drive to Cassis, a town known as the little Saint Tropez, with its small and charming harbor. Cassis is famous for its white wines and is home to the most ancient winery in Provence. You'll have the opportunity to admire the famous Calanques of Cassis, which are on UNESCO’s World Heritage list for their white cliffs and turquoise waters. There will be some free time for you to walk around the village, relax on the small sandy beach or hop on a motor...
We really enjoyed the tour. But I found a problem of the voucher. We booked the tour on Dec. 4, 2019. We printed out the voucher from the confirmation email. However, there is nothing described about the meeting address or meeting hotel, a rough map was described, on the voucher. We visited the “putative” meeting place with the voucher a day before the tour in order to check the meeting place. But, we failed to find the meeting spot. Later, I found, from my PC in the hotel room, that the meeting address and Radisson Blue Hotel are described in the confirmation e-mail, but nothing was written on the voucher issued on Dec. 4. Remember the customer brings only the voucher with him/her, but does not bring printed email. The voucher must contain everything important. The night before the tour, I received reminder email of the tour. The new voucher described everything including the meeting address, but too late. It is impossible to print out the voucher in the hotel late night.

Superb day of visits in a friendly atmosphere with an extra guide who not only knows history very well but knows how to answer the most varied questions! The format of the activity is perfect (comfortable car, small group, walking balance and visit by car). I only had one day free and I feel like I have learned Provence very well! Thank you Alex for this beautiful day! Julie from Quebec
Aix en provence was beautiful ! After that we went go Cassis, this was magnificent! The view, the rest, the beach. We didn't make a boat trip, we swim in the sea and lay down in the sun on the beach. Natalie was our guide, she told us everything, shows a lot, it was very good! Even the time was not a problem, she scheduled very easy.
Natalie is the best tour guide! it was so interesting and we learned a lot of local things! We had the opportunity to make perfect use of the time everywhere! It was a real asset! we did the boat tour with 3 calanques (45min), that fit perfectly with the time on site :) Thank you!
We saw so much more than we would have on a big tour. Edward was an awesome guide! Very flexible and accommodating. On time and even dropped us back off at our ship. Would highly recommend this your.
