I chose the tour because I didn't rent a car. The free cancellation deadline was long, so I purposely made a reservation through Get Your Guide. The size of the car was not bad for 8 people to go and it was full for 8 people. I have seen about 4 lavender fields, but I also go to fields where lavender and sunflowers are together. This is the prettiest place, but it was a pity that I spent a little time here. At the end, I went to a store that sells lavender one more time and continued to promote it, so I felt like I was buying it, but it's okay not to buy it. The tour itself is satisfactory.

Well worth using a tour guide

Our guide met us in front of the Apple store. There we 6 plus the guide in a large comfortable air conditioned van. It was hot as blazes out, so nice having the AC and a driver who knew where to go. Lots of people on the highways by the lavender fields creating crowds. Our guide took us to some more secluded fields. It’s a long drive to the fields from Aix en Provence. Fields of Sunflower and Lavender were a once in a lifetime experience.

It was as if teleshopping became an actual tour concept

+ friendly guide - overall very poor performance! - reading the tour description it seems a lot is offered on this trip, but the only service is basically a shuttle bus transfer that brings you to 3 nearby lavender fields where you have about 15 min time to take pictures. - we started 30 min late and were told right from the start that we don't have to worry about time problems as "there is not much planned anyway". Right after, we were told the tour would be 30 min shorter. - Visit to L'Occitane museum is other than stated not included! You are driven there to buy not to learn and experience anything connected to lavender. Same accounts for the stop at the 'producer'. You visit the store, that's it. No information or tour at all! The tour is for people who want quick standard instagram pictures and go shopping. If that is what you want...don't waste a second and book. For all the others: rent a car and explore Valensole yourself!
