Sunrise with the Kangaroos & Wallabies - Airlie Beach

Getting up and ready to depart at 3:45 am may sound a little uneasy at first, but had we not done this tour, we would have missed out on one of the most wonderful experiences of our vacation. We arrived at Cape Hillsborough just in time to witness the first glow of the morning sun behind the horizon on an immaculate day without any clouds, Kangaroos and Wallabies already gathered at the beach. Even though we were not the only people there, these moments felt deeply personal, and I am happy to carry their impression within me. On top of that, Cherene is a fabulous guide with contagious enthusiasm about what she does. During our bushwalk up to the outlook, there was barely any corner along the way where she did not find at least one thing to tell us an interesting story about. Afterwards, she arranged a delightful little breakfast for our small group before we eventually had to head back to Airlie Beach. Thank you, Cherene, for creating such a marvelous memory with us.

Such a lovely experience! Our guide was incredibly thoughtful—she had prepared blankets and travel pillows for everyone, which made the early start so much more comfortable. We were treated to a beautiful sunrise followed by a scenic hike to some amazing lookout points. To top it all off, we ended the morning with a cozy breakfast, complete with pastries and hot drinks. A truly memorable start to the day!
