This tour was operated by a one-woman band, Cherene. She was fantastic throughout the experience - incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and extremely energetic, particularly with the early start (absolutely worth it, by the way). Cherene collected us directly outside our hotel, which was appreciated, and provided neck pillows and blankets for the journey to make topping up on sleep easier. We were lucky to have a stunning sunrise and beautiful sunshine while observing the kangaroos and wallabies (there is nothing more iconically Australian). The bush-walk was fascinating, with excellent commentary provided on both Aborignal custom and native flora, fauna and nature. The view from the lookout is breathtaking. Cherene then provided a delicious, fresh breakfast of pastries, fruit, yoghurt and granola along with a few other sweet treats to enjoy. We sat and enjoyed our food and drink alongside the local kookaburras. An incredibly special tour all around - thanks Cherene! 🤩 x

Getting up and ready to depart at 3:45 am may sound a little uneasy at first, but had we not done this tour, we would have missed out on one of the most wonderful experiences of our vacation. We arrived at Cape Hillsborough just in time to witness the first glow of the morning sun behind the horizon on an immaculate day without any clouds, Kangaroos and Wallabies already gathered at the beach. Even though we were not the only people there, these moments felt deeply personal, and I am happy to carry their impression within me. On top of that, Cherene is a fabulous guide with contagious enthusiasm about what she does. During our bushwalk up to the outlook, there was barely any corner along the way where she did not find at least one thing to tell us an interesting story about. Afterwards, she arranged a delightful little breakfast for our small group before we eventually had to head back to Airlie Beach. Thank you, Cherene, for creating such a marvelous memory with us.

The sunrise tour, where we got to see wallabies and koalas in the wild, was simply amazing! Everything was excellently organized from start to finish. A big shout-out to our fantastic tour guide Cherene! Her enthusiasm for nature and animals was absolutely contagious. You could tell at every moment how much she loves what she does. She guided us through this morning tour with incredible knowledge, passion, and sensitivity. The bush walk through the breathtaking nature was particularly beautiful – exciting and educational. Cherene told us many interesting details about the flora and fauna that you certainly won't find in a guidebook. Breakfast in the middle of nature was another highlight: lovingly prepared, perfect to start the day. I can highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Cherene, for this unforgettable experience!

Such a lovely experience! Our guide was incredibly thoughtful—she had prepared blankets and travel pillows for everyone, which made the early start so much more comfortable. We were treated to a beautiful sunrise followed by a scenic hike to some amazing lookout points. To top it all off, we ended the morning with a cozy breakfast, complete with pastries and hot drinks. A truly memorable start to the day!

The tour guide was excellent. She picked us up at our Airbnb and brought us back. Pt took up to the beach and she provided a blanket and neck pillow. She provided a nice quick breakfast after the bushwalk. High energy. Sweet lady.
