Amazing and informative

We loved our guide! He worked well with our group, making sure to take care of two older women who had some walking issues and trouble keeping up. He worked well to accommodate us all without making anyone feel left out. My only complaint is that we HAD to print out our bus and entrance tickets. We weren't given the option to do this until we had already arrived in Peru, and from being out of the country, we felt somewhat stuck. It left us scrambling last minute to try to find a place in Cusco that would print our tickets. Our AirBnb told us of an internet cafe near us but their printer wasn't working. Luckily we were all members of Marriott and were able to use theirs as a last minute idea. Ideally, guests should be given the option to download the file to their phone which would be accessible without internet as well since a lot of people traveling are also without service. All in all, we loved out trip to Peru and Machu Picchu was one of the main highlights!

Great Experience!

We had a great time with our guide, Joel. He was very accommodating by picking us up at our hotel in Aguas Calientes, helping us navigate the bus ride, and showing us around Machu Picchu, giving detailed history of the area and the Incas. Joel answered all our questions and even took pictures for us.

The guide did not meet us at the hotel the night before as described. We were met by a very nice young lady to escort us to the bus, but she did not speak English, as was requested. When we reached the entrance, there was confusion in finding our guide. His English was good. Our guide left us prior to going into the site. I would have liked more direction and a guide inside. Once in the site, the signs were not frequent or noticable. Poor directions. We missed the sun dial and the other side of the site because it is all one way and you cannot go back to see it. Somehow, we missed the way.
