Incredible company and half-day activity. Sam (the operator of Wonders of Peru) was organized, prompt and incredibly helpful with our questions, and Percy (the guide for the activity) was knowledgeable, amiable and charismatic (noting we enjoyed interacting with so much that we invited him to happy hour after the day ended). Both were instrumental in making an unforgettable experience for us, which included taking time out of their day to meet us a day before the activity at the Ministry of Culture in AG to help us get the entrance tickets we wanted. We wish we would have used Wonders of Peru for our other explorations throughout Peru - I highly recommend this company and the activity.

Full description

As one of the 7 Wonders of the World, the ancient Inca site of Machu Picchu inspires awe among all who visit. Located in the lush cloud forest of Peru, the sacred city encircles the mountain and every angle reveals a breathtaking view. Come experience its mystery for yourself. Tour times: 4 hrs, morning or afternoon. Transportation options: train + bus or car. Min. 5 hrs each way. Passport information is required so we can reserve your entry ticket to the site. DISCLAIMER: Online tickets typically sell out months in advance but the Cultural Office in Aguas Calientes reserves 1000 tickets per day for in-person purchase. If online tickets are sold out, you will need to arrive by early afternoon the DAY BEFORE your tour to present your passport to reserve your ticket IN-PERSON. Your guide will meet you in Aguas Calientes and help you with this process.

My friend and i booked the Tour quite spontanous. We had no entry Ticket and all online Tickets were sold out. Percy our tourguide from wonders of peru helped us trough the whole process in aguas calientes, since it is a little complicated to get Tickets if it is not booked online. He had all of the important Information and good Tips (when to be where etc.). With his help we got the best Tickets for us at the time we wanted and could even add an extra hike at waynapicchu mountain. At machupiccu we had a real good view, lots of interesting Information about the Inkas and could even pet a lama. All in all we had a lot fun with our tourgide and a great day at the worldwonder.
