Visit a traditional olive oil mill in the Agrigento countryside, learn to cook traditional Sicilian recipes, and enjoy a delicious full lunch.
What to Expect
Meet the owners of an olive oil farm for a tour of the oil mill and groves. This farm has a long tradition of specialized cultivation, and the owners' love and the care for the land have been passed down from one generation to another. Today, 40 hectares are dedicated to olive trees, with extremely innovative cultivation techniques in place. The tour includes a special extra virgin olive oil tasting.
After the tasting, learn how to prepare a typical Sicilian lunch. Your special cooking class will use typical local ingredients and recipes, revealing the secrets of Sicilian cuisine. Typical recipes are anelletti al forno (baked pasta rings), pasta con le sarde (pasta with sardines), polpettone (Italian meatloaf), stir-fry specialities and desserts with almonds or sweet ricotta cheese. At the end of this fun and entertaining cookery class, enjoy the lunch that has been prepared, with delicious local wines.
