Come to Agrigento and discover one of Sicily's most famous historical attractions, for its well-preserved Doric temples dedicated to Greek divinities, the famous Valley of the Temples. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this Archaeological Park is located on a plateau close to the Strait of Sicily. 

Follow your guide to explore this site where time seems to stand still, preserving an unprecedented historical charm. Start the tour from the temple of Hera, continuing on the sacred way to the remains of the surrounding wall.

Inside the Valley, see 12 temples as well as some fortifications, the Lower and Upper Agora, an Olympian, and a Bouleuterion. Source of inspiration for poets, philosophers, and painters, it is one of the most emblematic parks in Sicily.

Admire Doric temples from the Hellenic period, that correspond to the ancient Akragas, the original monumental nucleus of the city of Agrigento. Move onward to the Temple of Concord, the remains of the early Christian Necropolis, the Temple of Heracles, and the remains of the Temple of Zeus.

  • If you arrive late to the meeting point, you will not be able to participate in the guided tour, as the entrance ticket is valid only and exclusively at the start time of the tour.
  • The skip-the-line ticket guarantees priority at the ticket office only; for security checks you cannot skip the line and will have to wait your turn

Sara was a superb guide explaining the history of the site in both English and Italian to suit our group. It was interesting to hear the significance of each temple and what was involved in their construction and usage over time. The tour finished before the a temple of Zeus and I would recommend visitors carry on throughout the site to gate 5 as although the temples are less complete there is still a lot to see and read about. Well worth a visit and Sara is a superb guide.

our guide Rosanna was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was thorough in her descriptions in both English and Italian. the headphones are necessary for a large, 20 person group. improvements: built in break to stop.for water in the heat, smaller groups would be a nice addition
