From Agia Galini/Matala: Rethymnon City Tour

The city of Rethymnon is extraordinary and this trip is definitely a must. Since I don't drive, from the south of Crete where I was staying this bus service with a mixed group was my only chance at an affordable cost. The negative points are two: the gathering of many passengers in multiple points of the island makes the trip a lot longer (at least 40 minutes more each way) and, although the guide seemed prepared and spoke good English, the choice to give us information about the city and the main points of interest only during the bus ride, and then leave us free for 4 hours as soon as we arrived to wander around, I didn't like it: I would have appreciated him accompanying us for at least an hour, to the fortress and for a first tour of the Venetian area.
