Designed for theatrical performances, later alterations allowed gladiatorial contests to be held here. The face of the Library of Celsus, which has been remarkably restored, is probably the most photographed place in Ephesus originally built in 115 to 125. We were picked up at the hotel on time. At Selcuk we were joined by our Guide Nizam who was very friendly from the word go. He had good knowledge about the places we visited and always made us comfortable. he was also very witty .
