This bespoke tour of the Barossa Valley begins by taking a trip back in time to 1849, where you visit Yalumba, the oldest family-owned winery in Australia. Here, take a tour through the cooperage factory and learn about the changes in wine production throughout history. Your experienced guides will lead you on premium e-bikes, winding your way through some of the most picturesque vineyards. Your next destination being Barossa Valley Chocolate Company, where you'll be treated to a hot chocolate and cake followed by an opportunity to indulge in the best chocolate the Barossa has to offer. From here, it's back on the e-bikes to ride a short distance down the road to Artisans, where Australia’s most famous premium wines will be available to you! Take the opportunity to taste any six wines from their full wine list, including the exclusive ‘Rarities’ list. Next, off to the Barossa Valley Cheese Company Cheese cellar Tasting, where you'll have four mouth-watering cheeses on offer. After this, back on the bikes to Yalumba, your final stop. Here you will be served a delectable artisan platter for lunch. You will also have the rare opportunity to be taken through Yalumba’s signature cellar to siphon wine from the barrel! At the beginning of this 4-hour activity you’ll be picked up in central Adelaide and transferred to the summit of Mount Lofty. At 710 meters, it is the highest point in the Mount Lofty Ranges and offers stunning views of Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills, and the plains below. From here it’s downhill all the way back to Adelaide! It’s just a short ride though Cleland Conservation park to your first stop of the day, at Cleland Wildlife Park. You’ll have a chance to explore at your leisure and feed or pet kangaroos, wallabies, emus and many other native animals. You may even have the chance to pet a koala! Enjoy morning tea while relaxing in the natural surroundings. On leaving the wildlife park, you can enjoy the best part of the whole trip, which is the ride through Cleland Conservation Park. It’s all downhill with a mix of some fun rough sections, other nice flat sections, and some fast bits! You’ll definitely see wild koalas as you ride through this stunning place. After approximately 10 km you’ll arrive in the suburbs of Adelaide, and enjoy a final spin along some quiet backstreets, past some lovely houses and suburban parks. When you reach Victoria Park you’ll have a great view of the summit of Mount Lofty, where you started out 3 hours and 18 km ago!

You will be picked up in central Adelaide and transported to Kuitpo Forest, a beautiful spot above the McLaren Vale wine region. You will be provided with a good quality mountain bike with front suspension & disc brakes, and a helmet if you do not have your own. Set off to explore the forest. Kangaroos and koalas can regularly be seen on the ride. Next is a lovely descent down Willunga Hill towards McLaren Vale, and then it’s time for wine tasting. Then ride through the vineyards and stop at a number of local wineries to sample their fare and perhaps purchase some wine to take home with you. Stop for a lunch comprising of a local produce platter along the way.  In the afternoon leave it to the group to decide your final visits- maybe a micro-brewery, another winery, a cafe/chocolate stop for a little desert, or if it’s really warm maybe a swim stop at one of the beautiful beaches that fringe the Vale. Finally, you will be picked up and transported back to Adelaide.  The ride is fairly leisurely and is suitable for anyone who is happy riding a bike on firetracks and country roads. The van can also pick up your wine purchases along the way so you don't have to carry them.

Then ride through the historic German town, Hahndorf and take in its picturesque main street, riding to your next stop – Udder Delights. Here, you'll sample world-famous local produce, including cheeses, fresh breads, and their mouth-watering quince paste. After this, you're back on your e-bike and take a ride to the region’s premium wineries. Shaw and Smith is the first stop where you are treated to a wine flight of five of their most premium wines - and a rest to take in the stunning views. Then on to Nepenthe for a sip or two under the gorgeous old gum tree. The Lane Vineyard is your final stop where you will retire the bike, experience their ‘Taste the Lane’ wine selection, and take in the breath-taking views that this estate has to offer. Discover the relaxed atmosphere of Henley Beach The recently redeveloped Henley Square offers the perfect place to take a break and re-energise over a delicious morning tea at ‘Cocolat’ while getting some insider tips from your guide. Henley is one of the ‘go to’ beaches for locals to hang out and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Take a walk on the jetty and keep an eye out for the occasional pod of dolphins that visit the foreshore. Cycle along the spectacular coastline Heading south along the dedicated cycle path, take in the expansive views along the coastline toward the Fleurieu Peninsula. Get a feel for the South Australian coastal lifestyle as you ride past beachside houses, sailing clubs and sand dunes. The final stretch takes you through the stylish Marina Pier complex and back to the foreshore before arriving at Moseley Square, Glenelg. Stay and explore the coastal town of Glenelg The popular cosmopolitan town of Glenelg is ideal for swimming, dining and entertainment. Shop on the bustling Jetty Road, discover the museums and galleries or simply find a place to relax and enjoy an ice cream. Take the time to walk along the sandy white shores and feel the sand between your toes or have a swim in the calm blue sea while soaking up some sunshine. Catch the iconic Glenelg tram back to the City Your return to the City is your choice! You can either return at your own leisure via the iconic Glenelg tramway (20 minute trip) or choose to come back with us in the pureSA bus upon arrival in Glenelg.
