Adelaide Hills

Spend the day touring the wineries of the Barossa Valley with a small group and an expert guide. Enjoy landscapes covered in grapes and greenery and taste the best wines of the region. Start your day with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in Glenelg or Adelaide. Make your way through the Adelaide Hills to your first stop at the famous Whispering Wall and listen to its famous acoustic qualities. Your first winery is the beautiful and historic Château Yaldara, home to not only some of the finest Shirazes in the region but to some of the best-preserved period architecture in the state.  Continue through the picturesque surroundings of the Barossa Valley, and cross the iconic Jacobs Creek. Enjoy time to explore the shops and attractions of the historic township of Tanunda. Indulge with some of the Barossa’s most internationally acclaimed wines at the beautiful Peter Lehmann Winery with a platter of the best meats, cheeses, and freshly baked bread. Head on to the beautiful Lambert Estate, where you will be hosted by one of their wonderful cellar door team. Be guided through a tantalizing range of red and white wine varieties. It's then time to depart for the final winery for the day, as you visit the iconic Wolf Blass with its state-of-the-art Visitor Centre. Try wines you may recognize, or enjoy tasting cellar tour exclusives. Complete your day with a trip through the beautiful Seppeltsfield region, where you will have the perfect photo opportunity before heading back to Adelaide at approximately 5:30 PM. 

After morning pickup from Adelaide and Glenelg, head towards the Barossa Valley to discover the region’s charming villages, vineyards, and German heritage. Stop in the historic village of Hahndorf, one of the most important German settlements in the region. Wander through the town and be charmed by its quaint 19th-century architecture. Afterward, take a scenic drive through the Barossa Valley, where you’ll stop in Lyndoch at the Kies Winery. Famed for its prolific production, enjoy a wine tasting alongside lunch at this family-run vineyard. With your palate piqued, head to more wineries and a chocolate factory, capping things off at Maggie Beer's Farm Shop. Return to your accommodation in Adelaide around 5:15 PM, just in time to reflect on the sights and tastes of the day over dinner.

Join this full-day small-group tour featuring some of Adelaide's finest experiences, including a visit to the German settlement town of Hahndorf and two wine tastings. Pickup is available from selected locations around Adelaide CBD. Tour itinerary: Depending on your selected pickup point, you will be collected at around 9:00 AM. The tour starts with a city highlights tour. As you get your bearings, learn about Adelaide's history and gain some insider secrets from your tour guide, the must-dos, the places to visit, and the best restaurants at which to enjoy Adelaide's finest food. Traveling out of the city, the tour takes you to visit the iconic Adelaide Oval (events permitting). Then, head through picturesque North Adelaide, scattered with stunning Federation architecture and lavish homes. Be sure to have your camera ready because the next stop is a spectacular view of Adelaide from the summit of Mount Lofty. From Mount Lofty, it's on to Hahndorf. The German settlement of Hahndorf is an absolute delight. With its abundance of boutique shops and eateries, there's plenty to explore as you enjoy 2 hours of free time to do whatever you please. Meet the bus back at Bus Stop 54 on the main street of Hahndorf. Climb back on board, sit back, relax, and enjoy the short but scenic drive through the heart of the beautiful Adelaide Hills en route to the iconic wine tasting region of McLaren Vale. Once you arrive at McLaren Vale the first stop is the stunning Chapel Hill Winery. Have your taste buds primed and your camera poised as your host at Chapel Hill tantalizes you with a wonderful wine tasting experience at their picturesque cellar door. From Chapel Hill, you'll wind through the stunning countryside, with grapevines and sea views as you head to the next winery, the quaint Shingleback Winery. This Wine tasting is really relaxed and you'll get to enjoy a structured tasting of Shinglebacks finest wines. If you're peckish, you can purchase a cheeseboard to enjoy with your wine. Now the tour heads back towards Adelaide, but taking the scenic route. Gaze out at the Adelaide coastline as you journey towards the final destination of the day, Adelaide's beautiful seaside suburb of Glenelg. There are two options here. Either take a 20-minute stroll to check the place out and hop back on board or stay and make your own way back on the tram.

On the day of your flight, your pilot and crew will meet you approximately 2 hours before sunrise - the time varies throughout the year - at the reception center. Once everybody is assembled and signed in, your pilot will give you a briefing before you board a comfortable 4WD towards the best launch site for the morning. Don't forget to bring your cameras as there will be some amazing photo opportunities along the way. The Barossa Valley is famous for having some of the most gorgeous landscapes in all of Adelaide. Once you arrive at the launch site, your pilot and crew will inflate the balloon ready for take-off. You are welcome to join in with the preparation. This whole process takes about 30-40 minutes. Jump on board, and after one last briefing and then it’s up, up and away! Wave goodbye to the crew, they will follow on the ground and meet you when you land. Time to relax and take in the amazing 360⁰ views. Experience the peace and beauty of floating over the countryside as the sun is rising. You will fly for about 1 hour before landing somewhere downwind. Once you have landed your crew will meet you and it’s time to pack the balloon away. Feel free to join in the fun, or stand back and take the opportunity to take a few more photos. Hop back in the comfy vehicles and head back to the reception center for breakfast. The morning ends with a delicious Barossa breakfast back at the reception center with a view over Penfolds Stonewell vineyards. Relax and chat with your fellow passengers and pilot about the morning's events, whilst sipping sparkling wine and indulging in the best Barossa produce.

Get picked up from your accommodation in Glenelg at 9 AM or Adelaide at 9:20 – 9:30 AM for a full day of sightseeing around the gorgeous Fleurieu Peninsula.  Enjoy the scenic drive from Adelaide through the Adelaide Hills before arriving in the historic German village of Hanhdorf. Treat yourself to morning tea at The Haus, visit the Antique Clock Museum, or shop around in the village's boutique stores. Travel on to the old paddle steamer port of Goolwa for a stroll along the beach where the Murray River meets the sea. Make a short stopover at South Australia's greatest surfing beach before continuing on to Victor Harbor. Keep your eyes peeled for whales as you pass Basham Beach during whale season.  Next, explore the seaside town of Victor Harbor where you can visit the Whale Center and Museum. Take advantage of the chance to visit Granite Island and check out the fairy penguins or ride the famous horse-drawn tram. Purchase lunch from one of the many quaint restaurants and pubs. Your last stop of the day will be McLaren Vale, one of Australia's oldest and finest olive, wine, and almond-growing regions. Taste some of the area's best wines, purchase some locally-grown, homemade delicacies before returning back to your accommodation at around 5:30 PM.

Get picked up from your Glenelg or Adelaide hotel and begin following the River Torrens through the spectacular Torrens Gorge. Learn about local wineries and sample their wines along the way. Enjoy your choice of six delicious lunch options. Discover the beauty of the Adelaide Hills as you travel along the River Torrens up past Kangaroo Creek Dam and past a chain of ponds to your first stop, Kersbrook Hill Wines & Cider. Travel onwards over Barossa Reservoir to Williamstown in Southern Barossa and stop at Kies Family Wines for more tastings and a beautiful lunch. In the afternoon, travel to the The Barossa Chocolate Factory, Maggie Beer's Farm Shop, and further wineries before returning to Adelaide at approximately 5:15 PM.

Experience the best of Adelaide on a half-day tour. This tour covers some of the top spots around the city before heading to Mt. Lofty and then onto Hahndorf. A day with Australia's wonderful animals awaits. Before arriving at the wildlife park, you will take a short stop at Mount Lofty Summit to enjoy the magnificent panorama over Adelaide. At approximately 710m, the summit is the highest point in the Adelaide Hills with uninterrupted views to the Gulf St. Vincent and as far as the eye can see north and south. The Cleland Wildlife Park is set in 35 hectares of natural bush and provides a unique open space environment with very few enclosures. It is home to over 130 species of native animals and is one of only a few places in the world where you can hold a koala. Cleland Wildlife Park is well known for its management and care in the health and wellbeing of the animals. As you explore the park and follow the self-guided discovery trails, find an abundance of native wildlife and walk among the free roaming animals in their natural environment. Explore the lively wetlands where the pelicans, cormorants and water birds live. See kangaroos, emus, dingoes, wallabies, Tasmanian devils and many more! Get up close to Australia’s iconic Koala! Your entry fee includes the ‘close-up’ experience where you can meet, touch and photograph one of the park’s cutest inhabitants while listening to the keepers who care for them. For an additional fee (no pre-booking), you have a unique opportunity to hold a koala and have a professional photo taken at the same time. Engaging with the park’s friendliest inhabitants provides a truly immersive experience. The best way to get up close to the kangaroos, wallabies and potoroos is by hand feeding them with the animal food provided.
