Arrive in Addis and start the city tour of the capital. Visit two famous museums including the National museum. Stay at a hotel in Addis.
Drive to Kombolcha. On the way you will stop to visit some Oromo villages. The Oromo are an ethnic group found in Ethiopia. With 30 million members they constitute the single largest ethnic group in Ethiopia. Arrive in Kombolcha and stay at a hotel.
Drive from Kombolcha to Lalibela and explore the sights here. Stop overnight at a hotel in Lalibela.
Explore Lalibela in greater detail, getting a true impression of this fascinating place included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Lalibela is one of Ethiopia's holiest cities, second only to Axum. Travel from Axum to Gondar on gravel road. The journey is long, but you will get to experience one of the greatest landscapes in all Africa. Arrive in Gondar and stay at a hotel here.
Visit Gondar – an agricultural and market town. This popular tourist attraction is known for its picturesque ruins in the Royal Enclosure, from which the Emperors once reigned. The most famous buildings in the city lie in the Royal Enclosure, which includes Fasilides castle, Iyasu's Palace, Dawit's Hall, abanqueting hall, stables, Mentewab's Castle, achancellery, and the library. Drive to Gorgora to reach the north shore of lake Tana, where you will begin your journey by boat to visit churches and monasteries. Located in the northwestern Ethiopian highlands, the lake is the largest in Ethiopia and is the source of the Blue Nile.

Drive to the Blue Nile waterfalls from Bahirdar. The falls are considered one of Ethiopia's best-known tourist attractions and are estimated to be between 37 and 45 meters high.
