Our guide (Luka) was great helping us understand Croatia history and the wars that led up to its creation. His perfect English, his supporting materials that brought with and his strong history knowledge were fantastic. At the end of the tour, seeing the bunker with media footage of Homeland War and his personal experience being shared is something of high-value to understand any war context and especially current conflict in Ukraine.

Kristina was an amazing guide who really help our small group feel immersed in the history of Croatia. Growing up in the 80s and coming from an American background, I never realized how intense the fighting was nor the damage done during the last war. I really had my eyes opened and was able to correlate those experiences with my own in the military. I highly recommend this tour, and ask for Kristina by name!

This experience is not to be missed; led by an extremely knowledgable, engaging and compassionate local guide, Luka, who shared not only his extensive, well researched knowledge but also his humbling personal experience of being a child living through war. He makes a complex series of conflicts easier to understand, he delivers his talk with passion and objectivity. This was by a long way the best thing we did in Zagreb and probably in the whole of our time in Croatia. We wish Luka success in his ambitions to develop further education and learning on these conflicts and their impact.
