Full description

Experience a ride on the famous Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel, a landmark of the Austrian capital and a symbol for the world-famous Wiener Prater. With its iconic silhouette, the Giant Ferris Wheel is a must-see attraction for all visitors to Vienna. A ride on the Wheel is just as important to a visit to Vienna as the Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral, or the Spanish Riding School. A ride on this significant and fascinating structure provides spectacular views over the whole city. The Giant Ferris Wheel is a true cultural and architectural highlight for any guest in the city: you haven't really visited Vienna until you've taken a ride on the Giant Ferris Wheel and marveled at the breathtaking views over the roofs of Vienna! The Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel rotates at a speed of 2.7 kilometers per hour. A complete rotation takes just over 4 minutes, but only when the Ferris wheel has not stopped to let passengers on or off. More commonly, a ride takes between 12 and 15 minutes, during which time you can enjoy picturesque views over Vienna and the surrounding area, such as the hills of the Vienna Woods, the Danube, the Marchfeld, and the Pannonian Basin.

it was on one of my favorite activities as we could see from above Vienna better to choose the ferris wheel instead of the Danube tower it offers the same view with a better price. when we went in we were stopped from a photo booth and they took some photos from us with 18 euros and they gave us two booklets with the two of the four pictures and the other two we could download them from the website they offered us. it was a really nice idea about keeping a souvenir from there.

In good weather you have a very nice view of Vienna. It's especially great in the evenings when all the rides and attractions on the Prater are illuminated. The gondola seats about 10 people. The most important sights are also marked here in the respective viewing direction. In the middle there is a bench to sit. For couples there is the possibility to book a romantic candlelight dinner for a surcharge. What I like about the reservation via Get your guide is that you don't have to print out a ticket and can therefore book at short notice without any problems. It also saves paper.

Anyone who comes to Wie must have ridden a touring bike - that's a must, just like a visit to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. A bit on the pricey side, but that's paltry compared to the expense of a city break. But there is a grandiose, quiet panorama over the whole of Vienna and time to enjoy.
