Full description
Visit the magnificent Danube Tower and experience the tallest landmark of Vienna. Take the shuttle bus from either Alte Donau or Neue Donau metro stations to the tower, then head straight to the entrance with your skip-the-line ticket. The terrace at the Danube Tower comprises a fully accessible outdoor platform and a two-story glass-paned indoor section, where you can admire the unforgettable panorama of Vienna's gorgeous cityscape. The glassed-in terrace allows visitors to enjoy the view over Vienna in strong winds and bad weather conditions and has become a particularly popular venue for special occasions. At an altitude of 160 meters, the café offers homemade pastries, strudel, and cakes as well as a range of delicious Viennese coffee specialties and warm Austrian delicacies. The next floor houses the Danube Tower restaurant at an altitude of 170 meters. Both floors make one full rotation on their axes every 26 minutes, offering varied and fantastic views of the city. Upgrade your tour to include a sweet snack at the Turmrestaurant. Savor a cheese curd strudel, apple strudel, or Sacher cake. This option also includes 1 drink (small non-alcoholic beverage, small beer, 1 glass of wine, coffee or tea).

We visited at the beginning of March so it wasn’t that busy. The lift has a glass roof so you can watch as the life ascends to the top of the towers. The view from the tower is amazing! The restaurant/cafe at the top slowly revolves that you don’t actually notice. The staff are friendly and polite.

Highly recommend visiting and having some cake and cappuccino in the cafe upstairs. T one your visit though as Western afternoon sun in the fall months can blind you from viewing most of Vienna. Great gift shop downstairs. Booked tickets on the bus 10mins away and tickets were in hand for me to skip the line. Mobile pass options would have been better as shaking the ticket at the turnstiles was difficult. Don't wait on line of you orchard Skip the Line tickets.. Snake around everyone and hit the turnstiles directly. Better signage could avoid some confusion. They need some viewing binoculars upstairs..there aren't any.

A little expensive for what is was.

The view is good, but I felt it was a little expensive for what it was. Also a little far out from public transport. Didn’t realise until afterwards that there is a shuttle service from the nearest station, as shuttle was not advertised at all. Service at restaurant at bottom was also not great, we waited 15 minutes for menus, and they got our order wrong twice. Mobile ticket was also very temperamental, didn’t scan very easily, asked for help and was just told to keep trying to scan the bar code.
