Full description
The tour will commence with a drive to Penning Bay, taking in spectacular views of the Penneshaw coastline. Arrive at a stunning beach where dolphins and whales can often be spotted frolicking in the water, and stop for a photo opportunity.
Visit Emu Ridge Eucalyptus, where you can learn how a traditional Australian Bush Product is made at South Australia's only commercial Eucalyptus Oil Distillery. Emu Ridge is an excellent retail outlet that offers an extensive range of local products as well as tastings for Kangaroo Island Ciders. Take a guided tour and learn how the distillation process takes place. Enjoy a wine tasting at Bay of Shoals Wines, before taking a scenic drive into Kingscote where you will stop at a cafe for lunch at your own expense (optional).
Continue to Island Beehive and take a guided tour of the extraction plant, taste the various flavors of honey and have a look around in the gift shop. Watch the milking of sheep at Island Pure Sheep Dairy to see how cheese and yogurt are made, then sample some of the products.
Finally, make your way to the island's Lavender Farm. Enjoy lavender scones and a drink of tea or coffee before making your way back to your hotel or ferry.

Cruise Ships dock just outside of Penneshaw where tenders then arrive at the Sealink Terminal. Make your way to the end of the jetty and turn to your left where you will see your guide holding a sign saying: ' Kangaroo Island Trails - Food & Wine Tour'. Make your way to the driver who will point you to the vehicle.
