Full description
On this 2-hour tour in Seville you will discover the history and culture of flamenco, an art form that was chosen as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2010. Flamenco is an art that comes from deep within its people, and is also the cultural expression of its people, the Andalusians. Discover the gypsy and Andalusian origins of the music and dance, and learn about the meaning of flamenco art. After the theory, comes the practice. You will enjoy a flamenco show where dancing, singing, and playing will wake up all your 5 senses. Also, flamenco and wine go well together, so you are invited to a manzanilla wine tasting. All of this in Seville, the cradle of flamenco – there is no better place to enjoy and feel this Andalusian fort of art.

    Great flamenco experience

Loved the intimate feel of the show that we got to watch. Juan, the guide, was fab, knowledgeable, but he gave the impression of really wanting to go home at the end of a long day :) dont blame him. If anything, i wished for a bit more detail on Flamenco types. But definitely a tour that i would recommend!

    Interesting history of Flamenco

We were met by our guide Alberto who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the cultural history of his country. We walked into Triana where we had a drink of Sherry and talked about the history of Flamenco. After the talk we went into the bar to watch the show. It was a small group so we had a good view of the dancing and singing. The show was excellent and showcased the dark emotion of Flamenco.

Enjoyable although a little disorganized and lacking in information

Our guide arrived some 15 minutes late, made worse by the burning heat we were waiting in. The slow walk from the meeting place to the event venue seemed further than necessary and worked to stretch what probably should have been an hour long experience into a 2 hour one. The guide was very friendly, pleasant and seemingly knowledgeable although I would have liked him to explain about the techniques and visual meanings involved in flamenco dancing rather than focusing solely on historical issues. The venue, although a little cramped was adequate and cosy. Extra drinks could be purchased if desired. The performances themselves, from the guitarist, singer and dancer were amazing. I would definitely attend this event again. Oh, and the free wine (I chose the non-sweet, port version rather than the sweet orange flavored one) was very nice.
