Your 3-hour journey begins when with skipping the ticket line and being whisked straight into the Vatican through the Official Partner entrance. Once inside, your expert guide will show you the best of the Pinecone Courtyard, Gallery of Tapestries, and the highlights of the Papal art collection in the Raphael Rooms. These are just a few of the rooms you will discover as we take you deeper into the Vatican. You’ll then spend time with Michelangelo’s most famous masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel, where your guide will highlight the key details for you not to miss. Next your guide will then take you to St Peter’s Basilica, which is larger than the Statue of Liberty, so you can gaze up into its massive dome and see its iconic sculptures, mosaics and hidden details. The tour then ends in St. Peter’s Square, where the faithful gather to listen when the Pope appears. By the end, you’ll have heard about the key facts, history of the Vatican and understand how it has helped shaped the world we are in today. You will also see the important aspects of Vatican architecture, demanding politics, and the artistic secrets it contains. This is a truly memorable experience not to be missed!

This was our 2nd tour booked with this Company and it was fantastic, everything went so smoothly. Our guide, I apologise I have forgotten her name - remembered everybody’s name and where they had travelled from. The information she passed on was fantastic, she didn’t rush- infact our tour went over the 2 hours. Answered all questions that were asked and as the weather was so good advised us to go to the top of St Peter’s Dome. The views are definitely worth climbing the 551 steps!

This was our first visit to Rome and we thought a guided tour would be useful after trying to navigate the Louvre in Paris without one. Georgia was excellent providing non stop commentary and taking questions. The down side to any tour is that you cannot linger in places where you would like to stay longer, but that is far outweighed by having someone knowledgable to guide you, plus you can always go back :) We would highly recommend the tour and then climb up the dome after for a lovely view of Rome. Note that if you take the elevator, you still have 300 steps to climb. If you don't, 500 steps. We paid the extra 2 euro and took the elevator!

We had booked the Vatican Tour and it will be an unforgettable moment of our stay in Rome. Getyourguide met our expectations perfectly. Follow-up of the reservation, reception at the meeting point and most importantly our guide BIANCA archaeologist by training who spoke French perfectly makes us share his passion through his explanations on the Vatican. Recommend without problem.
