An amazing night full of food, wine and great company. Our guide Francesca welcomed us at a local store in Prati disctrict and we started off with some ham and cheese tasting. That was just a warm up, we then had a delicious pizza, sandwiches and pasta. All with wine, beer and what not. We finished with excelent tiramisu. I have to say it was a bit too much, so do not eat anything on that day :D, but everything was so good that I do not regret extra kilograms.

We loved our food tour of Rome with Francesca! We tried so many delicious foods, met other great people, and Francesca was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour began at a small family run grocery store behind the Vatican in a local neighborhood. There we tried Italian made cheeses, meats, and balsamic vinegar. We must have tried about 10 things there! We were very impressed with the quality of the foods and knowledge Francesca and the shop owner shared with us. Some of the balsamic we tried had been aged for 30 years and was over $150 a bottle! From the grocery store we continued on to several other local spots including a famous pizza restaurant, local street food restaurant, and sit down pasta dinner. We concluded the night with hand made tiramisu. Throughout the tour they offered wine and beer, and even though we don’t drink Francesca offered us replacements at each stop. Try this tour for a fun way to see the city and experience Italian culture!
