Full description
Skip the ticket lines to enjoy the highlights of Rome and the Holy See with a day of tours led by friendly, expert guides. The tour begins in the morning at the Vatican, where your guide will lead you on an insightful journey through its iconic sights and artworks. Visit St. Peter's Basilica, the supposed burial site of its namesake, then tour the masterpieces of the Vatican Museums, including perhaps its most renowned, Michelangelo's frescoes on the Sistine Chapel ceiling. Leaving Vatican City, head for the Colosseum in the afternoon to tour the Roman Empire's largest amphitheater. Then visit the archaeological sites surrounding it, including the Palatine Hill and the Roman Fora, where the ruins of some of the City's ancient government buildings can still be seen. After taking this tour, you will boast a comprehensive knowledge of Rome's history and culture. Do not miss out on this great opportunity. Please note that due to shorter daylight hours, from October 28 the visit to the Palatine Hill will be replaced with an external explanation from the Capitoline Hill.

Very enriching visits with good guides passionate about the history of Rome. However, after visiting the Vatican, you should not hang around too long to reach the Colosseum. Also for the visit of the Colosseum we had a hard time finding the guide who did not put his logo prominently in the air

The tour was great, especially our guide Doris, who took us through the Vatican, was great! However, you have to keep in mind that it will be very exhausting because you can see everything in one day! In fact, we didn't have to queue at any of the entrances, we were able to walk through the long queues with our guide! It was worth it alone! Overall a great tour, highly recommended! Rome is just overwhelming !!

Had a great tour. Vatican was great but booked this tour mainly for Sistine chapel Michelangelo painting only to misunderstand from the guide. She told us to meet inside in 20 minutes so we did only to find her then she said let’s go. We never stayed to look! What!? You should’ve been clear that the 20 minutes was our chance to look not for bathroom break for everyone! So disappointed! Missed the only thing I wanted to see. Our coliseum tour, was great as well. Mateji was a great guide. I love he ended in the coliseum so we could take it all in a little longer.
