Full description

Take an afternoon tour of Iceland’s legendary Golden Circle on an 8-hour day trip from Reykjavik. See the best of the southwest, including the spectacular Geysir area, Gullfoss waterfall, and Þingvellir National Park.

Following a pick-up from your designated pickup location in central Reykjavik, transfer to the geothermal area of Geysir. Marvel as the active hot spring of Strokkur spouts steaming water 30 meters into the air every 8 minutes.

Continue to one of Iceland’s most iconic features at the Gullfoss Waterfall (“Golden Falls“). Feel the spray of the waters of the glacial River Hvítá as it plummets down into a 32-meter deep crevice.

Next, enter Þingvellir National Park, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart at a rate of a few centimeters per year. Þingvellir was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its cultural values in 2004.

Pass through Icelandic farms on your drive around the Golden Circle.

My boyfriend and I had the best time on this tour! Our guide, Jakob, was brilliant and so funny. He made the tour great fun and really interesting; we learnt so much about Icelandic history and culture. The views were just stunning. The only thing was the stop at the Geysir didn’t feel long enough to grab lunch and see the geysir and the gift shop. All in all this tour exceeded our expectations and we can’t recommend it enough!

Was recommended this by a friend and certainly didn’t disappoint. Monika and Magic went out of their way to make sure everyone had the best time. A few added extras thrown in the mix. Without sounding like a broken record, it can get very cold so make sure you wrap up!

The guide really told a lot of interesting things about Iceland, its history and natural phenomena, it was impressive. The hike in the national park was too fast for me, I would have liked to have explored the landscape more and in peace. So we literally ran through there and at least I was able to take a few more photos. The next stations were more relaxed and we had more time on site. All in all the tour was very impressive.
