Full description
Begin your 2.5-hour tour of Montmartre at the infamous Moulin Rouge. From here, you will move up the hill to see artist studios, statues of pop stars, and the church that is located at the highest point of Paris, the fabulous white wedding cake of the Sacré Coeur. Discover what made Vincent Van Gogh, Toulouse Lautrec, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, and Salvador Dali all want to call this eclectic district home. The tour covers all the major sites that make it famous, including the bohemian Artists' Square, Montmartre Vineyard – the last authentic vineyard in Paris – Van Gogh’s House, Café des Deux Moulins (recognizable from the movie Amélie), and the last windmill left standing in Paris. Wander through Paris’s Red Light District, see Picasso's former studio, and listen to fantastic anecdotes, such as the legend of Paris' first bishop, the headless Saint Denis. Discover Renoir's world-famous paintings, Bal au Moulin de la Galette, and pass by La Place Dalida, dedicated to one of Paris' most famous gay icons and the cabaret bar where Picasso often exchanged paintings for food.

This was the second time I did a walking tour of Montmartre, and this one was by far the BEST! Dawie was our guide and he was the best tour guide I’ve ever had! He was so knowledgeable, yet down to Eart and funny! He made my friends and Lee really comfortable and we enjoyed every minute. There were so many interesting facts that we had never heard before and we loved it. I highly, highly recommend this to work or any tour led by Dawie!

My boyfriend and I were in Paris for a few days and this tour was one of the best experiences we had! Montmartre is so charming and has a rich history that is fascinating to learn about. Our guide Alberto is a passionate storyteller that kept our tour group engaged and entertained the entire time. He also gave many recommendations of places to eat and drink at and things to see and do, which we really appreciated!

Our tour guide, Francois was exceptional! He was experienced, knowledgable and very entertaining. I would never have known the stories behind the area just walking around by myself. He was animated and put on a performance, acting out artists through different voices. So fun! The walk was beautiful and we went at an appropriate pace for the group. I would highly recommend this tour for the history lesson and a different side of Paris!
