Full description
Visiting the Louvre with a special children’s guide is a fantastic way to give kids a taste of this important museum. Covering more than 650,000 square feet of space it is one of the largest, and busiest, museums in the world and an important landmark in Paris. The Louvre exhibits over 35,000 objects and it is said that it would take a visitor up to 9 months to see them all. Visiting a museum of this size with children may seem like a daunting proposition, but a successful visit is possible. Your tour guide will focus on 2-3 exhibits to keep the kids from becoming overwhelmed and losing interest or having a meltdown. Many children (as well as adults) are excited about seeing the Mona Lisa, so your visit will start there, and continue on after this requirement has been met!

Our guide was fantastic and knew exactly what our kids (9 and 7) would want to see and how to get there without dealing with the crowds. I'd highly recommend this tour. Easy to meet up and walk right into the Louvre, especially because we had a tickets to get into the museum via a special entrance.

Astrid was a great guide for our family tour around the Louvre. She really managed to get on to our children’s wave length to make it an interesting experience for them. She captured many of the key elements and made Louvre a more accessible visit for us all to enjoy rather than be daunted by. Merci beaucoup

Our original guide did not show up and due to the strikes we had to wait an hour for our new guide. Luckily we were able to wait at a nearby cafe and they called when our guide arrived. Ivan was fantastic, worth the wait. He was really good with our boys, 10 and 11. Very knowledgeable and he made the tour entertaining with games at several of the most famous paintings.
