Full description
Join a magnificent tour and cross the island’s inland, its northern part and the west. Visit the restored Demeter’s temple in Sangri from circa 530 B.C. and the museum with local findings. Continue to the oldest Citron distillery of the Naxos, dating back to 1896, in Halki. There, take the chance to taste the local Citron drink. A visit at Apeiranthos will give you the chance to see the famous marble village and shop in local traditional shops. Next, as the bus heads north to Apollonas, your tour allows you to see the remnants of the old emery mines and their machinery. Discover the huge 10.5–meter tall Kouros Statue, often considered to be a personification of God Dionysus. The final stop will be at a traditional olive press museum, before you head safely back to Naxos town after a memorable trip.

Excellent all day tour of Naxos with female guide whos name I dont' recall, but who was a great guide and was very informative. Our driver handled the windy roads, particularly up the mountain well. We visited Demeter Temple, Halki village for Kitron tasting, Apeiranthos village, Apollonos village for lunch and a swim, Kouros of Apollonos statue, and an olive museum for tastings and Oia for sunset, with drop back to hotel. Great value for €25, a comparable bus day tour we did was €50 on Santorini, where everything is a bit more expensive than the other islands. Day is long, and you often don't have much time at stops, so get off the bus quickly and go explore, don't delay or you'll cut into time at each stop

The was a confusion in the beginning of the excursion with identifying the bus. When we presented our tickets to the guide, we were told that we were supposed to go with a different company. In the end it turned out that the guide did not get the right information.

The tour guide and bus driver were wonderful. Very informative and friendly. It was a lot of stops for one day and it felt like some stops were rushed. I would have preferred a couple less stops and more time in Halki, the pottery shop, and/or the olive press site. Side notes for other travelers: they email you the day before with your pickup location (this was really easy and helpful); the only entrance fee was for the first site (4€); lunch was around 2pm and you pay for that too.
