This 4-hour morning tour begins with a 30-minute boat ride from Mykonos to Delos with 15-20 other guests. Once you arrive on Delos you will receive an introduction to the ancient and sacred site. With your guide, you will explore the narrow city streets. Marvel at the impressive house of Dionysus and the exceptional mosaics, well-preserved marble columns, and wall paintings. See other monuments in the urban area, including the Theater of Delos. Take a walk along the main street to the market and the sanctuary zone. Here you’ll find the Stoa of Phillipe, the Propylaia, the Colossus of the Naxians, and the Temple of Apollo. Visit the archeological museum and see exhibits on the island’s major historical periods. Checking in with a mobile voucher was confusing and annoying; everyone kept being told to wait in different lines, we would get to the front and be told to go back in the line we had waited in previously (it was a poorly communicated system, whatever it was). The tour itself was enjoyable. We had a charming, older Greek woman who was very passionate about the history and mythology of the place. The group gets an hour to wander around, and although the museum building was closed for renovations, there was a lot to see outside and were still didn't get to everything. There are some informational placards at various points of interest that are quite detailed, so I only had time to take pictures of them to read afterwards. Tip: There is little-to-no shade on Delos and they don't have water facilities, so bring a hat and plenty of water to keep cool.

We did this today with our children. it's about 90 minutes of tour and a hour to self explore. we enjoyed it. but be warned people don't wear masks and do not distance at all if you are worried about that. the museum is closed. it's worth the trip and getting a guide

We took the morning tour of Delos under glorious blue skies. We were pleased to see the staff requiring masks on the boat and on the island when in a group in tight spaces. Our guide was Athena and she is a treasure! A former archeologist who lived on Delos, she was able to share her experience and knowledge of the island and the excavated ruins. We highly recommend this informative tour. It was truly interesting and worthwhile. Athena brought the history of the ancient Greeks to life for us.
