Full description
Begin at a meeting point in Downtown Miami or Miami Beach. Board the bus and travel to the Everglades Holiday Park. Once at the park you will have the opportunity to receive a free photo of you and your group before embarking on an airboat tour. Sail through the canals where there will be plenty of photo ops to catch wildlife in their natural habitat. Experienced guides offer tips to ensure you spot alligators large and small, as well as soft-shelled turtles and birds you won’t find anywhere else. After your airboat ride, enjoy a wildlife show where you will see alligators up close. Learn how these reptiles, who were hunted close to extinction, made a dramatic recovery to be removed from the endangered species list. Cameras are allowed, so be sure to take plenty of photos to show and tell your friends about these intriguing prehistoric animals. Right after the show, have your picture taken with a baby gator. The time in the park will be approximately 2 hours before you begin your return journey back to Miami.

After a false start when the bus doors would not shut and a long delay without any communication from the tour operators and we were left in limbo we eventually changed bus much to the annoyance of the travellers on the second bus who were required to get off so that those on the first bus could get on and start our tour (first come first served) we then started our tour which turned out to be a drive to the Everglades park a 30 minute airboat ride which was enjoyable followed by a 15 minute alligator show which was not very active followed by a drive back to South Beach. So an apparent 4 hour tour was cut short by nearly an hour because of the problems with the bus

The driver was friendly and gave a great talk about the history of the region on the drive to the Alligator Safari. The time at the safari park was super rushed with barely enough time to go to the washroom, jump on the 20 minute airboat ride, stand in line to get a picture with a baby alligator before having to jump back on the bus. No time to look at the rest of the park.

This was an excellent trip. The guide took time to explain many details about the Everglades including local history and current environmental concerns. We were able to see many birds and alligators whilst on the air boat. The only downside, was that the map showed the bus pick up point as about 100m from the actual stop which caused some confusion for ourselves and the other guests.
