Learn all about the stations and key points in the city, as well as how the metro system helped shape the new Medellin. When arriving at the connecting station, hop on a cable car up the hill. As you go, admire the panoramic views of the city and find out about its evolving history and troubled past. At the top, take a short ride on the bus toward the Comuna 13 district. At Comuna 13, the real fun begins. An enthusiastic guide will explain all the positive changes made to transform what was once one of the most dangerous communities in South America into a symbol of the new Medellín. Our tour through Comuna 13 was the highlight of our trip to Medellin! Oscar was an amazing guide and it was clear how much he loves his city and the people in it. This tour would be great to take at the beginning of your trip because it introduces you to the city’s public transportation system and makes it much less overwhelming to travel around town on your own. Highly recommend!

Walter was the best guide! We were nervous about the tour because we weren’t sure how much we were going to appreciate the grafiti, but it was AMAZING. The art is incredible and the tour was so much fun! We got to experience some music and dancing from Medellín as well which was a highlight. The metro cables were also very cool but a small part of the tour.

Sebastian our guide was the best. Knowledgeable, passionate, friendly, and super helpful. He clearly knew the facts about this fascinating comuna and displayed a clear understanding of its history. Most importantly he cares about how people view his country, it’s people, and culture. He has a journalist background and you could tell by the depth of his answers. He never shied away even encouraged difficult questions. I for one come away with a deep appreciation for the people whom he represents so well. The tour is well paced and takes you through the metro and bus system which is a unique experience itself. This was the highlight of my time in Medellin. Do not hesitate to book and make sure you ask for Sebastian.
