    Shakespeare's Globe was terrific!

I visited Shakespeare's Globe on Wednesday. I got there at half-past nine, converted my e-ticket and started the tour at half-past ten. I had breakfast at Swan, the restaurant nearby. The guide at the Shakespeare Globe was a cheerful, charming young lady who gave minute details about the history of the theatre, the performances held there (historical and recent) and the architecture and design of the building. She made her presentation intriguing and funny, I really enjoyed her presence and I stayed as close to her as possible. The gift shop is also exquisite, I had to refrain myself not to buy too many items but still I got a Shakespeare's Globe T-Shirt and a quill. My only regret is that I didn't buy a ticket for an actual performance here. Next time I'm in London, I will return to Shakespeare's Globe especially to see a play here, preferably "Macbeth".

Enjoyed a memorable tour of the New “Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre”!

Attended a tour of the new Shakespeare Globe Theatre with my teenage grandson and we found it very worthwhile. The grandson and the staff were very attentive to this near80 year old grandma. The staff commentaries were rich in detailed explanations and attending two rehearsals was a joy. Stairs were a challenge for me, as were the narrow seats, yet I was so pleased to have made the effort. Being present at a rehearsal was such an opportunity to see the actors in situ and they were even costumed which really set the scene.

A very enjoyable and informative visit!

I visited with my daughter on 8th June 2019. Definitely would recommend having a guided tour of the Globe Theatre. What an amazing reconstruction! The tour was made even more enjoyable by Matt our guide who had a great personality and was extremely knowledgeable. I’ll be visiting again soon to watch a production that’s for sure!
