Momos are eaten as a snack or light meal, and are the most favorite food in Nepal. Come and join a local home chef to cook these yummy dumplings with your desired filling (veg or non-veg). Locals not only love to eat them, but also love the social process of making momos. Every festival or get-together with family relatives is incomplete without momos.  You will learn the whole momos making process from kneading dough, mixing the fillings, learning to fold the momos and finally cooking them. You will also learn to make a special homemade sauce.  Your friends at home are guaranteed to be mighty impressed with your new found culinary skills. Note: Please say which momo filling you would prefer -   Chicken/Buffalo/Vegetarian.

Chef Purna and his wife were excellent hosts and very patient when our (read: my) fingers were all tangled up trying to create those different (five) momo shapes. During the course we learned how to make everything from scratch: the dough, the filling, and the folding of the momo. My personal favourite filling was the buffalo filling: just exquisite. Chef Purna also shared his secret ingredients at the end, and we took a picture of his list of ingredients. A truly tantric training.

    Amazing host!

Purna was such a gracious host during our momo class! He explained everything as best as he could (he doesn’t speak much English, but the guide was a helpful translator), he was very patient, and held such a fun class. The momos were delicious and he even shared some of his homemade “wine” (for foreigners, it’s closer to hard liquor than wine) before the class ended. I would recommend this class to anyone!
