Full description
Get picked up between 9 AM–9:30 AM from one of three pickup points in Singapore. Once inside your comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, set off on your trip to Johore Bahru. After traveling across the border with Malaysia and arriving in Johore Bahru, explore the city with your licensed, English-speaking guide. Marvel at the architectural design of Abu Bakar Mosque, built in the style of 19th-century British clock towers. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds as you walk through the streets of Tan Hiok Nee Heritage Street. Hear about the tales of the early Chinese immigrants, and savor some local delights recommended by your guide. Next, access the State Legislative Assembly Building during your tour of Kota Iskandar, Johore State Administrative Centre. Inspired by Moorish-Andalusian and Malay designs and motifs, this is Malaysia's first experiential Parliament. Enjoy an insider's look at the magnificent Johore State Parliament Hall (on non-parliament seating days only). With your appetite worked up, savor a sumptuous lunch at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. Be spoiled for choice as you enjoy a melting pot of Malaysian cuisine in the all-day dining restaurant. After lunch, experience the many cultural facets of Malaysian life in the Malay Cultural Village. Sway and move to a traditional Malay cultural dance interpreted with modern music. Try your hand at teh tarik (pulled tea) or bring home your own batik painting from the Batik Printing Workshop. Important:  • Please note that the Johor State Parliament Assembly Hall at Kota Iskandar Sultan Ismail Building will be temporarily closed for tour visits from March 1 to March 5, 2020 for maintenance and preparations for the next Assembly session on 5 March 2020. • The Heritage Tour of Johor Bahru will operate as usual, excluding the visit to the Assembly Hall. Guests will still be able to visit the other parts of the area, including Sultan Ismail Building, the Jauhar Gallery, Kasturi/Rampai Gardens, and the Mosque Roof Garden.
