Follow your guide around the set as they show you the most famous locations and explain how the movie magic was made. Walk around the 12-acre set, past Hobbit Holes, the Mill. It was a fun, well run, well paced and informative tour, with plenty of opportunity for photos. The bus was very comfortable and the Hobbit holes were beautifully situated. It was an easy walk with an informative commentary as we were guided around the area. It culminated in the Green Dragon and a welcome drink of either an alcoholic or non-alcoholic locally brewed drink. A wonderful day all told.

Very friendly, helpful hosts. Informative guide. Great fun for the young as well as the older members in our tour group. The concept and execution of the idea to preserve the film set works very well and is done with great flair as well as allowing us to see a very attractive farm with rolling hillsides set in a very pretty part of the country. All the staff we met were helpful, cheerful and friendly.

This tour was beautiful, breathtaking and educational. My husband and I have not watched the Hobbiton series so we didn't know what to expect. The area is surreal and the preservation of the entire set was spell bounding to me. We loved hearing the history, seeing the entire set and being a part of the environment during the tour. We look forward to watching the movies now that we're home.
