Full description
Start at Chez Philippe, a New York bistro style at the heart of Geneva. Enjoy a delicious hamburger with a glass of wine. Sample the "Denise" sauce, inspired by the chef's mother who made him want to become a cook. Next, stop at a true Geneva institution, the Brasserie de l'Hôtel de Ville. Embark on a real historic journey through Old Geneva as you learn about how in 1600, the current restaurant was the city's guard room and soldiers in armor gathered in this tavern to eat. Today, film and theatre stars mix with the establishment's diverse clientele to enjoy the region's traditional dishes. Here you can try a cheese fondue or lake perch fillets - it's up to you to decide. After discovering Geneva throughout the day, try a designer cocktail in the cozy bar of the 5* Grand Hôtel Metropole, located just by the lake. Experience this privileged meeting place for Geneva's locals, as this lounge area in the heart of the city offers you a refined and well-deserved break. Last but not least head to Café du Remor. Find out how 3 of the family's 4 boys, Bortolo, Peppino and Giorgio, left their native village to set up their first ice-cream shop in Hamburg. Life then took them all over the world to Geneva, where each of them developed his own business. Giorgio Remor, became an emblematic figure of Geneva, and from father to son, Café Remor has remained a true institution. Here you will try a delicious homemade pastry and receive a hot drink.

The choice of restaurants and the quality of the food and drinks were excellent. At the starting point at Chez Philippe we had to walk with 6 people about 20 minutes. wait (12.30 p.m.) because there were a lot of locals there at lunchtime. But it wasn't a problem for us.

The choice of restaurant was good. Everything was tasty and I enjoy the place and story behind. However the downside for me is that some staff has no clue about this voucher. Our first stop was chez Philippe, everything went well an d the burger was really good. Second stop was Cafe Remor, they took away our printer voucher and said that otherwise they cannot justify the payment. So I had to download the app and go back to our hotel to print again the voucher. Then in our next stop Hotel-de-Ville, the staff had no clue about the voucher and after checking internally, they told us normally we need to reserve? They served us fondue and we ordered some wine on our own but when we asked for the bill, they charged again the food. After explaining again the situation we only paid the drinks. But it was a bit chaotic. Fortunately the last stop The Mirror bar was fine and the cocktail was amazing. I give still 4 stars for good food. But minus 1 star for the organization.

    Great food and wine!

Definitely would do it again; however, would have been so much better with a group. You have to be patient, two of the places did not know what to do. This took some time to explain. The people were really nice though and were accommodating. Plan for some time. On line it said it would be a 2.5 hour tour. By myself it took 5 hours. Though I did have to take my time, it was a lot of food. The order I would recommend would be the 1st, 3rd, 2nd and then the 4th place. That way you can have a food, the a drink. (Give your body time to process the burger) then you have room to enjoy the fondue if you so choose. Then time for your dessert and coffee!
