Full description

Embark on a scenic cruise along the north coast of Granite Island. Victor Harbour is located on the south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula of South Australia, about 90 minutes and 80 km south of the center of Adelaide. Pass the route of the old horse-drawn tramway and see the historic Screwpile Jetty as you venture around the breakwater and into the open ocean. Continue for 5 minutes to arrive at Seal Island (also known as "Seal Rock"), where New Zealand fur seals and Australian sea lions can be seen basking in the sun. Delight to the sight of the seals that often swim to the stationary boat for a good look at the passengers!  Keep a lookout for other wildlife, including petrels, shearwaters and cormorants, on or around Seal Island. You might even spot some common or bottlenose dolphins that are often in the vicinity and sometimes race the boat. After 15 minutes of wildlife viewing at Seal Island and around Wright Island, cruise back to the Granite Island Causeway at Victor Harbour and disembark.

It was excellent. The boat was very comfortable, visibility obviously very high and the two crew members very friendly and knowledgeable. They knew the waters well and the burst of speed was fun.Lots of dolphins right by the boat and then lots of seals on the islands.Again a close up look at them.

Nice boat and friendly staff! It was a nice experience but it felt too short, even though it went on for the advertised 45 minutes. It’s just a short ride to one location in a nearby small island to see the sea lions on the rocks and back… I guess you get what you pay for, which is a low price, but I would have been happy to pay more for a longer cruise. However, I think that the description needs to be updated because the cruise doesn’t depart from Victor Harbour, but from Encounter Bay which is a 10 minute drive. Plus it doesn’t go to Granite Island or near its jetty and the horse-drawn tramway.
