Full description
The Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba is considered the most significant monument in the western Muslim world and was listed by UNESCO in 1984 as a World Heritage Site. It is believed that the location occupied by the Mosque-Cathedral was dedicated to numerous divinities in ancient times. The building comprises the courtyard (Patio de los Naranjos), where the laminar or minaret is found and the interior space, which features impressive columns along with red and white arches. Spend 1 hour and 15 minutes exploring the site with an official guide and learn about the history and architecture of this splendid monument.

A very different type of experience as we got shown around the Mosque and it's history explained. Then we explored the beautiful Cathedral with its paintings and interesting religious items which made you think about the differences between Muslin and Christen beliefs and appreciate what each has to offer. The gardens were a delight to visit and I would have liked longer to enjoying walking around so next time I would book an earlier tour. Definitely a must on a visit to Córdoba.

ankhela or angela was excellent and detailed about her facts and shared them in an entertaining way. to cover so much of history in such little time is a challenge. its a must do with guided tour. i only wish she spoke slower which even some other people did mention to her in the beginning of the tour.

    An excellent informative historical tour

Really enjoyed listening to the in depth historical knowledge from our guide Stephanie... she had an intensive knowledge about the Mosque Cathedral as she was born and raised in the city and we could feel the love she had for her city. She gave us a beautiful informative tour and we really enjoyed how comfortable she made us feel. Thank you Stephanie. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in Muslim history in Al Andalucia.
