Full description
Buenos Aires should be enjoyed from different angles, and this half-day sightseeing tour is designed to do just that. The combined coach and walking tour encompasses the best sights the City of Tango has to offer. Start with the city’s symbolic Obelisk, erected in 1936 to commemorate Buenos Aires 400th anniversary. See colonial Spanish squares, such as Plaza de Mayo, Plaza San Martín, and Plaza del Congreso, home to the large-domed Palacio del Congreso. Travel down impressive Avenida Corrientes, leafy Avenida de Mayo, and the vast Avenida 9 de Julio. Explore commercial areas of Buenos Aires and discover Argentina’s favorite past-time at numerous soccer stadiums throughout the city. You will go to colorful neighborhoods to give you a more local feel for the city. See the brightly-painted houses of La Boca, first settled by Italian immigrants, explore the home of tango in bohemian San Telmo, and see the city’s first barrio at Montserrat. Discover a more sophisticated side to Buenos Aires in the upscale areas of Palermo and Recoleta, and get a feel for urban nature at leafy Lezama Park and landscaped Tres de Febrero Park.

I really enjoyed the tour. My only complaint would be that the half day tour started at 2.15pm and it took almost 1hr to do hotel pickups before we started the actual tour. Other than that, the guide was excellent and very competent in English and Spanish. These 2 languages seemed to flow together at times so it was necessary to concentrate so not to miss any information. At the cemetery you should ask for directions if you wish to see Eva perons grace as it’s difficult to find as your left to find it alone. The cemetery is amazing.

The only reason I am giving a four star is because Elba our tour guide was great! I was the only English speaking person and she made me feel included even tho the rest of the people on the tour spoke Spanish. The pick up was late, was meant to be 1:30PM, they picked me up at 2:30PM and then took us to a couple places to get pictures and places that had souvenirs. And then they dropped us off no where near where they picked us up! I had to walk about 6kms to my hotel lol would have been nice to know before hand.

Lovely. I got a good glimpse of the city, how is laid out and the places I'd like to go back to spend more time. The crew was very nice and the bus was very comfortable. The only thing that thew me off was that at the end they have a few drop off points in the city and you are on your own from there. I thought they would bring you back to the point the picked you up. The drop off points are centrally located anyway (Puerto Madero, Obelisco, etc), no big deal. Money well spent.
