A talented troupe of flamenco dancers and guitar players are joined by other musicians and singers to present a stunning journey through one of Spain’s most popular folk traditions. Choose to add on a supper of seafood paella or the typical tapas of Spain, as well as a glass of local wine or sangria.  For those who choose not to have dinner before the show, you will have the exclusive chance to learn the basic rhythms and steps of flamenco from 2 of the renowned dancers before the show begins. Flamenco Y Olé Held nightly at 18:25, the “Flamenco Y Olé” show features an extraordinary group of dancers interpreting gypsy traditions through dance, including the “Pasión Gitana desde Niño” (gypsy passion since childhood), “Alegrías de Cádiz” (happiness from Cádiz), and “Bodas de Luis Alonso” (wedding of Luis Alonso). The “Seguidillas y Martinete” and “Perdidos en la Leyenda” (lost in the legend) complete the routine. El Gitano Bajanó Watch the “El Gitano Bajanó” show, held nightly at 20:15. I particularly enjoyed the fact that they initially took the time to explain to us the history and importance of the flamenco and also showed us how to perform a few flamenco steps. We were then served some food and drinks prior to and during the performance. As a vegetarian, the food was not to our liking (mainly salad and fruits provided which is not very filling), however the show itself is well worth the money.

We caught a taxi to the show and he took us the long way-maybe it was just traffic at that time of night?? The show was all we expected it to be-you cannot go to Spain and not see Flamenco dancing. We learnt that Flamenco means so much more than just dancing. Unfortunately we had to leave 10mins early to ensure we would be back on the ship in time. However, the taxi ride back was quicker and we could have stayed for the finale.

Excellent venue! The show was truly spectacular. The singers, musicians, and dancers were passionate. The soloist dancers, in particular, were stellar. It felt like they were riffing with the musicians and dancing their hearts out for the audience. The salad was fresh. The paella was very nicely cooked and tasty with generous pieces of seafood, and the profiteroles were delightful. We want to return for the other two shows soon! Be sure to arrive early so that you can finish eating before the show starts right on time, because you won't want to interrupt your watching with eating.
