Depart Athens with your friendly guide (archaeologist) by bus from the Halandri Metro station and reach the ancient city of Mycenae. Let the Cyclopean walls take your breath, and learn about the mysterious origins of this fantastic structure.

Mycenae is considered the greatest and richest kingdom of the later Bronze Age around 1350 B.C.

Walk around the archaeological park, pass through the great Lionesses Gate, explore the Ancient Treasure of Atreus also known as King’s Agamemnon Tomb as well as the Tomb of Clytemnestra. Admire the Palace and the Gold Mask of Agamemnon. After Mycenae enjoy a traditional Greek lunch in the beautiful seaside city of Nafplio. Naflpio used to be the capital of Greece before Athens and its architecture has Venetian, Byzantine, Ottoman and, Modern Greek influences.

The trip gives a reasonable time to visit Epidaurus and Mycenae. The Corinth Canal is just a photo opportunity. In Nafplio, only a glance is taken at the three castles and the center. We did not take advantage of lunch, we preferred to look around a bit more ourselves. Because we chose Mycenae and Epidaurus especially, we still give the day a "good". The guide did his best to tell us a few things during the ride, but this was barely focused on the things we would visit and it didn't come across well in a moving bus. Since he was recommended as an archaeologist we are disappointed in this. You visit the sites yourself, the guide does not go with you, and therefore does not give an explanation on the spot. The entrance is not included in the trip. Our opinion is: if you are looking for a targeted transport option to these places, yes, that is fine. You see a beautiful landscape passing by. If you want to make a well-founded archaeological trip, do it differently.

beautiful tour to discover a part of the Peloponnese too bad that there is not in Italian, I have adapted to the English one even if I do not speak it but of course it is my choice, the tour is wonderful and you feel like you are 3000 years ago when you enter in the tomb of Agamemnon ...

This trip offers the chance to see the countryside of the Peloponnese Peninsula. The area around Mycenae is particularly beautiful. Mycenae is a fascinating site, though be prepared for hilly terrain. Epidaurus is also beautiful and very moving. Lunch at Nafplio and a quick walking tour round out the trip.
