Most amazing tour someone could ask for. If you are looking for a countryside tour do this one. You travel at your own leisure to experience the country side, windmills, amazing hot/cold chocolate, and some cheese. Also the restaurant where you pick up the scooters from is great and the owner is very informative and friendly. Highly recommend if you are in Amsterdam, it’s a must!

Full description

With this 1-day electric scooter rental, you get to decide what time you’ll start out, when and where you’ll stop and how long you’ll spend at the numerous attractions.

Before you start the activity you get instructions from an instructor and have a test run. After that, you can go off on your own (not in a group).

Your route starts in Wijdewormer, a small village just above Amsterdam. It takes about 20 minutes by taxi or car, to get to the starting point from Amsterdam.

After a cup of coffee or tea and an explanation of the navigation app routiq, head out to discover the beautiful countryside. With your scooter rental, you’ll get a digital route to the Zaanse Schans, with its traditional Dutch houses and windmills.

  • You need a (car) driver's license to operate the scooter. If you do not have one, you will have to sit at the back as a passenger
  • The duration of the scooter rental period is from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. You must return by 5:30 PM
  • The route takes about 2 hours and the rest of the time is at your leisure

Very fun day. Scooters are easy to use and something different vs a walking or bike tour. Beautiful part of the country. I would suggest leaving in the morning to beat the tour buses. We LOVED his lunch suggestion on the lake.
