Full description
Discover the sights of central Amsterdam on a 3-hour bike tour. With an expert guide riding by your side, you’ll learn about the city’s culture, see important historical sites, and famous hotspot as well as lesser-known local favorites.  Start your journey near the central station, pass the impressive A’DAM Tower, and ride over to the Western Islands, which are filled with charming drawbridges, old warehouses, and chic artists studios.  Continue along the Brouwersgracht Canal and visit the trendy Jordaan and 9 Street districts flanked by indie boutiques, cozy cafes, and hip eateries. As you ride deeper into the city center, you will enter the Grachtengordel neighborhood and zoom past the Westerkerk (Western Church) and the historic Anne Frank House.  Feel the buzz of music and street performers around Leidseplein Square, a busy theater district with a buzzing nightlife.  After so much excitement, enjoy a pleasant break in the Vondelpark, the largest park in Amsterdam and the most famous park in the Netherlands. Feeling recharged, circle the Museum Quarter and ride through the narrow streets of the Bohemian-influenced De Pijp neighborhood.  Cross the iconic Magere Brug (skinny bridge), a wooden drawbridge over the river Amstel, and arrive at the famed Artis Zoo leading into the Maritime Quarter.  Admire the impressive replica of a 17th century Dutch East Indian Company ship a the Salt Harbour, before returning to back where your bike journey began.

Very nice experience! Our guide was so prepared, he has a lot of experience in his field. He didn't bring us in the "centre centre", obviously, because is crowded and almost everyone walk there around on his own, but I showed us the hidden parts of Amsterdam, that you can discover just with a guide. So lucky to have seen Amsterdam from a different point of view.

My partner and I visited in the off-season and booked the experience to find out we were the only two on the tour - meaning private tour! It was wonderful, the guide is very friendly and knowledgable, with a great sense of humour which we enjoyed a lot. We got a great and personal tour with lots of useful information to use for the rest of our time there. Would recommend this tour for historical trips around the city. Very interesting and enjoyable. And we were recommended a lovely spot for a late lunch after the tour when I asked where we might get good local food. We hired the bikes thereafter so we could keep cycling for the rest of our stay in the city.

Discovering the city by bike really is a great concept, I really liked it. However, I was a bit disappointed by the guide as the story on Amsterdam was a bit too superficial, I was expecting more details. I talked to people that did the same and had a really great experience so I assume it also depends on the guide.... Bike was ok, only the saddle was a bit inconfortable at the end.
