Full description
Start your day with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in Glenelg or Adelaide. Make your way through the Adelaide Hills to your first stop at the famous Whispering Wall where you will be fascinated by its famous acoustic qualities. Your first winery is the beautiful and historic Château Yaldara, home to not only some of the finest shirazes in the region but to some of the best preserved period architecture in the state. Continuing through the picturesque surroundings of the Barossa Valley, you will cross the iconic Jacobs Creek with time to explore the shops and attractions of the beautiful and historic township of Tanunda, or simply relax over a coffee. Lunch is a regional highlight. Indulge yourself with some of the Barossa’s most internationally acclaimed wines at the beautiful Peter Lehmann Winery while a platter of the best meats, cheeses, olives, assorted vegetables and freshly baked bread is brought to your table (with vegetarian option available). After lunch, it’s on to Langmeil, one of the most visually stunning wineries in the region and home to the oldest known Shiraz vineyard in the world. Stroll through the vineyard and into the ancient cellar to sample your choice of the finest drops the state has to offer. Stopping to take in in the breath-taking panoramic views of the Barossa from Mengler’s Hill Lookout, you will head onwards to the next and final wine tasting experience at Lindsay Wines, fusing art, wine and music into a joyous experience that simply can’t be missed. Take in the winery’s history accompanied by music from the staff’s own collection of vintage vinyl records. Complete your day with a trip through the beautiful Seppeltsfield region, where you will have perfect photo opportunity before heading back to Adelaide for approximately 5:30 PM.

For a start we were picked up from our residential accommodation. Our Guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I think he is the type who can quickly assess the crowd that he will be travelling with, which doesn't always happen. He gave us a very good insight into the Barossa and genuinely has an interest in the area. He never rambled or raved and was more than happy to answer any question asked of him. I thought the first Winery lacked a little, but that was no fault of our guide, the remaining three visited were excellent

The weather was perfect the guide was so nice. We could taste 4-5 different wines in one winery. It was such a great day for me and my friends. The best moment is that I saw the view of Barossa from the top! ^_^

The guide Russell a very nice guy and the people on this tour had many good laughs. Only thing about the aussie people is that just because you speak and understand english it is not the same we understand australien english especially when it is so speedy with the speciel accent it can be difficult. We have been on several tours for the last couple of weeks, and it is the same - speedy talking and it can be hard to understand.
