Our guide was so personable and knowledgeable. He explained a lot about the local weather and environment. He was energetic and enthusiastic about the Bay Area and incredibly fun to spend the afternoon with. We already booked him for another tour!
Our Wild Side tour was amazing! John is extremely knowledgeable, fun, easygoing, and friendly. He shared facts about the plants, climate, and history of Golden Gate Park and answered Weather related questions, too. After we walked through the AIDS memorial, Oak Woodlands, and other park areas, we strolled into the Inner Sunset district for a bakery stop. Next, we walked to the 1st set of stairs. The neighborhood at the top looks like a storybook picture, and then we came to the 2nd set of steps. The tile mosaics on both sets of steps are breathtaking. The intricate details in the designs tell stories in art. John explained some of the history of the tile designs and about the maintenance of the areas around the steps. Climbing all those steps is great exercise. John gave us little breaks as needed. The view from the top of the 2nd set of stairs is the best panoramic city view. The tour overall was extremely enjoyable for a bargain price; fantastic way to spend an afternoon!
