Pickup was at 12.45 - about an hour late! I thought it was just going to be the jeep ride, but having arrived at the desert station (and after a bit of a wait) we had a long ride through the dunes on quads. This was good but a bit slower than other excursions. Also a bit too much emphasis on photo opportunities. After another wait, we mounted the jeep and started the trek to the Bedouin camp. Again, this was a bit tamer than when I’ve done the excursion with another company but we had an interesting ridge climb in the middle of the desert. Arriving at the camp we had our camel ride and Bedouin lectures, then a quick drive in some rather dodgy buggies. The dinner was good and accompanied a short dance show (the venue for this was large and atmospheric) We were then back in the jeep and returned directly to the hotel. Sadly - we didn’t get the promised star gazing. All in all it was a great excursion. Less waiting would improve it, but it still gets my recommendation.

Experience the unending expanse of the Hurghada Desert, admire one of the usual Fata Morgana mirages, and see the countless sand dunes in the middle of the desert. After the tour through the desert, arrive at a traditional Bedouin camp. After a bit of relaxation, enjoy the opportunity to explore the camp and learn more about the life and culture of these desert denizens. Watch the sunset and enjoy a dinner buffet. Try Middle Eastern specialties and see an incredible performance with belly dancing, Arabian music and a snake show. Admire the night sky and see the planets and stars while returning to your hotel.

it was a really lovely day . we had quads and spider carts added which was a lovely add on as we didnt no this would be included.. just take alot of water as your only given 1 bottle and 1 coke with dinner in the 9hrs your on the trip . also they do take you to 3 shops and ask if you would buy the kids something . some had no money as they thought all drinks were in as it did state drinks and snacks in the jeep which we didn't get . also my friend didn't ride the camel as the woman was asking her for money !!! when we already had paid for this . it put her off . don't get me wrong it was a nice day but somethings I didn't agree with what was we had to buy are water and snacks even tho it stated we would get them included we did get dinner at 6:30 but only 1 bottle of water from 12:30 pick up to 6:30
