The popular Poon Hill Trek which combines a spectacular view of the sunrise with majestic mountains in the foreground. The mountains in sight include the very famous Fishtail Mountain, Annapurna-I, Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Himchuli, Lamjung Himal and many more. Ghorepani is a modern village in myagdi district of north-central Nepal. It lies 17 kilometers from the district capital of Beni at an elevation of approximately 2850 m /9350 ft. The village lies within the Annapurna Conservation Area , requiring a national park permit to visit, and contains a number of “guest houses” that provide lodging and fooding to trekkers, many of whom spend the night before a pre-dawn trek to the top of nearby Poon Hill (3210 m / 10531 ft) to watch the sunrise. Outline Trip Itinerary : Day 1 : Travel from Pokhara to Ulleri (Max Altitude: 2050 m / 6725 ft) On day one of your trip, you will be picked up from your hotel in Pokhara and drive to Birethanti . Trek begins from Birethanti and trek to Ulleri via Tikhedhunga . A Guest house in Ulleri will be your halt for the night. Accommodation : Mountain Guest House Day 2 : Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (Max Altitude: 2850 m / 9350 ft) On day two, you will be trekking from Ulleri to Ghorepani via Banthanti and Nangethanti over a span of 5-6 hours. Accommodation: Mountain Guest House Day 3 : Hike to Poonhill (3210M) and Trek to Ghandruk (Max Altitude 2000 m / 6561 ft) On day two you will take an early morning hike to Poon Hill. The hike will take you two hours for the round trip . Here you will be enjoying the mesmerizing view of a sunrise with majestic mountains in the foreground. The journey then continues with a 4-5 hour trek towards Tadapani. A Guest house in Tadapani will be your halt for the night. Accommodation : Mountain Guest House Day4: Trek to Birethanti and drive back to Pokhara On day four you will enjoy the nice down hill trek through different local villages enjoying the water stream, water falls, and green hills and forest. The hike will take 5-6 hours to reach Birethanit and you will get drive back to Pokhara on your hotel. You will than final farewell to your guide.
