Full description

Start your adventure at 7:30 AM with a light breakfast before embarking on the speedboat and heading out to sea to observe the Spinner and Bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat. Once the dolphins are spotted you can observe these aquatic specialists from the boat or even jump in for a closer look before setting course for some snorkeling around the “Aquarium” a coral barrier known to be one of the best snorkeling spots in Mauritius. After some enjoyable snorkeling we head in the direction of Ile aux Benitiers island, along the way we include a stop at Crystal rock, a famous geological quirk. This is a great place to take some photographs with the gorgeous view of Le morne mountain as its backdrop. Finally, we make our way to Benetiers Island for our long-awaited BBQ lunch, and a little relaxation time before heading back to the mainland.

Please note that if you are using your own transportation to get to the meeting point there is plenty of parking space in the area. Once you are at the meeting location, please walk towards the beach. There is a kiosk on your left - there's only one kiosk so it will be easy to find. If you happen to arrive early at the meeting location point, feel free to sit down at the kiosk and enjoy the light breakfast on offer while the crew gets the boats ready for departure.

Poor dolphins... 20 boats and dozens of tourists throwing themselves into the water to see them... on the spot, it was nonsense, I even wanted to leave! It feels more like hunting than observing dolphins in their environment... The rest of the outing was nice with snorkeling, then barbecue on the island of giant clams

We saw the dolphins which were numerous and were even able to swim with them! The downside is indeed that there is an army of other boats following the dolphins... However, this does not seem to disturb the animals. Very rich and quality BBQ! Only downside the time spent on the island a bit long and our guides were not very talkative.

Great experience however, swimming with dolphins requires one to be a strong and fast swimmer. Our guide, Fabrice, was very patient and good with kids. My 4yr old got to snorkel and spend some time swimming in the ocean. The bbq lunch on the island had its highs and lows. Food tasted amazing but there was a long wait to get it. We also felt that the time on the island could have been cut by an hour or so.
