Great day out with Danil who was our guide for a three hour walk along the coastline in Sal. Great way to learn about the islands, and to appreciate the natural environment. Danil made sure we got to Monte Leao just in time for the sunset where we could see dolphins in the ocean. Highly recommended, but make sure you have proper walking shoes, water, and are well protected from the sunshine. Believe they will tailor the walk to suit your fitness level too

All in all a nice tour, you should be aware that even when walking near the shoreline with no significant ups and downs (but a great view of the lonely beaches) it might be exhausting if conditions are windy. A pitstop at „O Ninho dos Piratas“ was needed and well planned, the location is worth a visit - good drinks, good music, good food. Hamilton was a nice guide, calm and competent when it comes to facts about the islands and recommendations about restaurants etc. The final stop on this tour is Monte Leao, there is a short climb to the top, the underground is a bit rocky, if you aren’t sure-footed it is better to wear hiking shoes but the guide also helps when you feel insecure. The efforts are worth it in the end, you will get rewarded with a great view.
